Ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef or thinly sliced beef
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 medium zucchinis, sliced into half-moons
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley or basil, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Step 1: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent.
  • Step 2: Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  • Step 3: Add the beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart if using ground beef, until fully browned and cooked through.
  • Step 4: Season the beef with salt, black pepper, oregano, basil, and red chili flakes if using. Stir well to combine.
  • Step 5: Add the sliced zucchini to the skillet. Stir and cook for 5–7 minutes until the zucchini is tender but still slightly firm.
  • Step 6: Reduce heat to low and sprinkle grated Parmesan evenly over the skillet. Stir gently until the cheese melts and coats the ingredients.
  • Step 7: Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley or basil before serving.
