4 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
4 leaves of romaine or iceberg lettuce, washed and dried
1 large tomato, sliced
1 tablespoon butter (optional, for toasting bread)
For the Spicy Mayo:
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Spicy Mayo : In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sriracha, lemon juice, garlic powder, and salt. Mix well until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust the spice level to your liking. Set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Bacon : Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add the bacon slices and cook for 4–6 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy and golden. Remove bacon and place it on paper towels to drain excess fat.
Step 3: Toast the Bread : Wipe the skillet clean and add butter if desired. Toast the bread slices until golden and crisp on both sides. (You can also toast them in a toaster for convenience.)
Step 4: Assemble the Sandwich : Spread spicy mayo generously on one side of each toasted bread slice. Layer lettuce leaves, followed by tomato slices, and crispy bacon. Top with the second slice of bread (mayo side down). Press gently, then cut diagonally for a classic presentation.
