For the Brownie Bites:
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
For the Cauldron Decoration:
- 1 cup chocolate chips (for dipping tops)
- ½ cup black candy melts (optional, for darker “cauldrons”)
- 1–2 cups assorted candy toppings (green Sixlets, mini Mu0026Ms, candy pearls, Nerds, gummy worms, or popping candy)
- Green, purple, or orange frosting (to create bubbling potion effect)
- Pretzel sticks or black licorice (for “cauldron handles,” optional)
Make the Brownie Bites Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a mini muffin tin. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Whisk until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing until combined. In another bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Slowly add dry ingredients into wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Spoon batter into mini muffin cups, filling about 2/3 full. Bake 18–20 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Cool completely.
Create the Cauldron Effect Melt chocolate chips (and candy melts if using) in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth. Dip the top of each cooled brownie bite into the chocolate to coat. Let set. If desired, stick a pretzel half or licorice piece on opposite sides for “cauldron handles.”
Make the Bubbling Potion Pipe green (or purple/orange) frosting on top in a swirly, bubbling pattern. Sprinkle candy toppings to look like magical bubbles, gems, or sparks. Drizzle extra frosting or candy gel for a gooey potion effect.
