- 1 large round bread loaf (sourdough or artisan boule works best)
- 2 cups frozen spinach (thawed and drained well)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
- 1 packet dry vegetable soup mix (or onion soup mix)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Crackers, bread chunks, or fresh veggies for dipping
Prepare the Bread Bowl: Slice off the top of the bread loaf and hollow out the inside, leaving a thick shell to resemble a cauldron. Cut the removed bread into chunks for dipping.
Make the Dip Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine thawed and drained spinach, sour cream, mayonnaise, cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, soup mix, garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and evenly combined.
Assemble the Cauldron: Place the hollowed bread bowl on a baking sheet. Spoon the spinach dip mixture inside until full.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly and the bread edges are slightly toasted.
Serve: Arrange bread chunks, crackers, and vegetables around the bread bowl cauldron.
