Ingredients
  

  • Meats (choose 3–5 varieties):
  • 3 oz Prosciutto
  • 3 oz Salami
  • 3 oz Soppressata
  • 3 oz Chorizo or Pepperoni
  • Cheeses (choose 3–5 varieties):
  • 4 oz Brie
  • 4 oz Aged Cheddar
  • 4 oz Gouda
  • 4 oz Blue cheese
  • 4 oz Goat cheese
  • Accompaniments:
  • 1 cup mixed olives (green, black, or Kalamata)
  • 1 cup grapes or berries
  • 1/2 cup dried apricots or figs
  • 1/4 cup mixed nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
  • 1 small baguette, sliced and toasted
  • 1 box assorted crackers
  • Honey or fig jam for drizzling
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (rosemary, thyme, or basil)

Instructions
 

  • Choose Cheeses and Meats: Select a variety of textures and flavors—soft, semi-soft, hard, mild, and strong cheeses; cured meats with different flavors and fat contents.
  • Prep the Cheeses: Cut soft cheeses into wedges, hard cheeses into cubes or slices, and form goat cheese into small rounds.
  • Prep the Meats: Fold or roll slices of prosciutto, salami, and other cured meats for an attractive display.
  • Prepare Fruits and Nuts: Wash fresh fruits, slice if necessary, and set aside. Toast nuts lightly if desired.
  • Prepare Crackers and Bread: Toast baguette slices for added texture and arrange crackers.
  • Assemble the Board: Arrange cheeses, meats, olives, fruits, nuts, and crackers on a large platter, leaving spaces between items.
  • Add Condiments: Include small bowls for honey, jam, or dips.
  • Garnish: Add fresh herbs for color and aroma.
  • Serve: Place in the center of the table for guests to enjoy.
