Step 1: Preheat the oven : Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Step 2: Prepare the garlic butter : In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined and aromatic.
Step 3: Prepare the bread : Place the loaf of bread on the prepared baking sheet. Using a sharp serrated knife, cut the bread into a crisscross pattern, making cuts about 1 inch apart and deep enough to reach close to the bottom (but not all the way through).
Step 4: Add the garlic butter : Gently open the cuts with your fingers and drizzle or brush the garlic butter mixture evenly between the slices, making sure it seeps into every crevice.
Step 5: Stuff the cheese : Mix the cheeses together in a bowl. Stuff the cheese mixture generously into the cuts of the bread. The more cheese, the better!
Step 6: Wrap and bake : Wrap the loaf loosely in foil, leaving a small opening on top to allow air circulation. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then unwrap the foil and bake for another 5–10 minutes until the cheese is completely melted and bubbly, and the top is golden and crisp.
Step 7: Serve warm : Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with extra parsley or Parmesan. Serve immediately while the cheese is still gooey!
