- 6 slices of bacon
- 4 slices of sandwich bread (white, sourdough, or whole wheat)
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 4–6 leaves of crisp lettuce (romaine or iceberg work best)
- 2 medium ripe tomatoes, sliced
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Optional: avocado slices, cheese, or hot sauce
Cook the Bacon Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Cook bacon until crispy, flipping occasionally (about 6–8 minutes). Place cooked bacon on paper towels to drain excess grease.
Toast the Bread While bacon cooks, toast the bread slices until golden brown.
Prepare the Vegetables Wash and pat dry lettuce leaves. Slice tomatoes into medium-thick rounds, lightly seasoning with salt and pepper.
Assemble the Sandwich Spread a generous layer of mayonnaise on one side of each toasted bread slice. Place lettuce leaves on one slice, followed by tomato slices. Layer the crispy bacon on top. Close with the second slice of bread, mayo side down.
Slice and Serve Cut sandwich diagonally for easier handling and serve immediately.
