Ingredients
  

  • For the Tuna Salad
  • 2 cans (5 ounces each) tuna in water, drained
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise (adjust to preference)
  • 2 celery stalks, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish or chopped dill pickles
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
  • For Serving
  • Crackers, such as whole-grain or buttery crackers
  • Optional: sliced cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, or bread slices

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Drain and Flake the Tuna : Open the canned tuna and drain any excess water. Use a fork to flake the tuna into small pieces in a mixing bowl.
  • Step 2: Add the Vegetables : Finely chop celery and red onion. Add them to the tuna along with pickle relish.
  • Step 3: Mix in Dressing : Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Stir gently until the mixture is creamy and evenly combined.
  • Step 4: Season : Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix again and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Step 5: Chill (Optional) : Cover and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes to allow flavors to meld, though it can be served immediately.
  • Step 6: Serve : Scoop onto crackers, spread on bread, or serve with fresh vegetables for a nutritious snack or light meal.
