- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth or seafood stock
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Step 1: Season the shrimp lightly with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Set aside.
Step 2: Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and just cooked through. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
Step 3: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Step 4: Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer, scraping up any flavorful bits from the bottom of the pan.
Step 5: Reduce heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
Step 6: Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
Step 7: Return the shrimp to the skillet and gently toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for 1–2 minutes until heated through.
Step 8: Serve the creamy garlic shrimp over warm cooked rice and garnish with fresh parsley.
