Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms (white or cremini)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups pasta (penne, rotini, or any short pasta)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese (or mozzarella for creamier texture)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Step 1: Sauté Aromatics : Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook until soft and translucent. Add garlic and sauté for another minute.
  • Step 2: Brown the Ground Beef : Add ground beef to the skillet and break it apart with a spatula. Cook until fully browned and no longer pink. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  • Step 3: Add Mushrooms : Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook until they soften and release moisture.
  • Step 4: Add Pasta and Broth : Pour in the beef broth and add the uncooked pasta. Stir well, then bring to a simmer.
  • Step 5: Cook Covered : Cover the skillet with a lid and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally until the pasta is tender and most of the broth is absorbed.
  • Step 6: Add Cream and Cheese : Lower the heat and stir in heavy cream. Add Parmesan cheese and mix until melted and the sauce turns thick and creamy.
  • Step 7: Final Touch : Taste and adjust seasonings if needed. Garnish with chopped parsley.
