  • ¼ cup cheddar cheese (optional, for color contrast)
  • Black olives (sliced, for eyes and scars)
  • Red bell pepper strips (for mouth and stitches)
  • Yellow bell pepper (optional, for eyes or scars)
  • Mushrooms or zucchini slices (optional, for facial details)
  • Olive oil (for brushing dough)
  • Cornmeal (for dusting baking sheet)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or dust with cornmeal.

  • Brush with Olive Oil: Lightly brush dough edges to help crisping.
  • Spread the “Skin”: Spread pesto evenly as the green base.
  • Add Cheese: Sprinkle mozzarella and a little cheddar for contrast.
  • Decorate Frankenstein’s Face: Use olive slices for eyes. Place bell pepper strips for mouth and stitches. Add mushrooms or zucchini for scars or bolts. Get creative with veggie details!
  • Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and crust is golden.
  • Cool Slightly and Serve: Let pizza rest for 2 minutes before slicing.
