Ingredients
  

  • For the Pasta:
  • 12 oz (340g) linguine pasta
  • 1 tablespoon salt (for pasta water)
  • For the Shrimp u0026 Sauce:
  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (divided)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth for non-alcoholic version)
  • Juice of 1 large lemon (about 3 tablespoons)
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • For Garnish:
  • Extra parsley
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Cook the Pasta : Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.Add linguine and cook according to package directions until al dente.Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  • Step 2: Prepare the Shrimp : Pat shrimp dry with paper towels.Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.Heat 1 tablespoon butter and 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.Add shrimp in a single layer; cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  • Step 3: Make the Garlic Butter Sauce : In the same skillet, add remaining 2 tablespoons butter.Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant (don’t burn it).Pour in white wine and lemon juice.Scrape up browned bits from the bottom of the skillet and simmer for 2–3 minutes to reduce slightly.Stir in lemon zest and parsley.
  • Step 4: Combine Pasta and Shrimp : Add cooked pasta and shrimp back into the skillet.Toss to coat, adding a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.Taste and adjust seasoning.
