Step 1: Cook the Pasta : Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente according to package directions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
Step 2: Sauté the Shrimp : Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add shrimp, paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Squeeze lemon juice over shrimp and transfer to a plate.
Step 3: Make the Garlic Parmesan Sauce : In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until aromatic. Pour in heavy cream and broth, whisking to combine. Add Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Stir until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 4: Combine Everything : Add cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water gradually until desired consistency is reached. Add shrimp back into the skillet and toss gently.
Step 5: Serve : Divide into bowls, top with extra Parmesan and chopped parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
