- 1 pound steak (sirloin, ribeye, or flank)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 6 cups mixed salad greens
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- 1/4 cup crumbled feta or blue cheese (optional)
- 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
Season the steak generously with salt and black pepper.
Drizzle olive oil over the steak to prevent sticking.
Grill the steak for 4–6 minutes per side, depending on thickness and desired doneness.
Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes to retain juices.
While the steak rests, prepare the salad: place mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, sliced cucumber, and red onion in a large bowl.
Slice the rested steak thinly against the grain.
Arrange the steak slices over the salad.
Sprinkle crumbled feta or blue cheese on top if using.
Drizzle balsamic glaze over the salad and garnish with chopped parsley.
Toss lightly before serving or serve as-is for a composed presentation.
