Ingredients
  

  • For the Burger Patties
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80/20 preferred)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • For the Mushroom Topping
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • For Assembly
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 burger buns, toasted
  • Lettuce, tomato, onion (optional)

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, gently mix ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Form into four equal patties, slightly larger than the buns.
  • Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
  • Cook patties 4–5 minutes per side until desired doneness.
  • In a separate pan, sauté mushrooms in butter and olive oil until golden and tender.
  • Top burgers with Swiss cheese during the last minute of cooking and let melt.
  • Assemble burgers with mushrooms and desired toppings.
