Ingredients
  

  • For the Ground Beef Chili
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 cup crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • For the Chili Dogs
  • 8 beef hot dogs
  • 8 hot dog buns
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheddar cheese, mustard, jalapeños

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Heat oil in a saucepan and sauté chopped onion until translucent.
  • Step 2: Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  • Step 3: Add ground beef and cook until fully browned, breaking it apart.
  • Step 4: Stir in tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Step 5: Simmer chili uncovered for 15–20 minutes until thick.
  • Step 6: In a separate pan, melt butter and sauté sliced onions until soft and lightly caramelized.
  • Step 7: Grill, pan-fry, or boil hot dogs until heated through.
  • Step 8: Place hot dogs in buns and top generously with chili and onions.
