Ingredients
For the Chili Mac:
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 bell pepper, diced
1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 cups cooked macaroni pasta
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Cook Ground Beef : Brown ground beef in a skillet and drain excess fat.
Step 2: Sauté Vegetables : Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened.
Step 3: Make the Chili : Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, kidney beans, and spices. Simmer 10–15 minutes until thickened.
Step 4: Mix with Pasta : Combine cooked macaroni with chili in a large bowl and stir to coat evenly.
Step 5: Bake : Place mixture in a greased baking dish, top with cheeses, and bake at 375°F for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
