Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium tomato, chopped (or 1 cup canned diced tomatoes)
  • ½ cup raisins
  • ½ cup green olives, sliced
  • 1 small red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional, for depth)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup beef or chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Sauté onions and garlic until soft and fragrant.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking up lumps.
  • Stir in chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, and bell pepper.
  • Add cumin, paprika, cinnamon (if using), salt, and pepper.
  • Stir in raisins and olives, then pour in broth.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley or cilantro before serving.
