- 2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or blanched frozen)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (or sesame oil for richer flavor)
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for sauce thickening)
- For the Honey Garlic Sauce
- ¼ cup honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
- 3–4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated (optional but recommended)
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Step 1: Make the Sauce : In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Broccoli : Heat ½ tablespoon oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes, until bright green and slightly tender but still crisp. Remove broccoli from skillet and set aside.
Step 3: Cook the Shrimp : Add remaining ½ tablespoon oil to the skillet.Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.Remove shrimp and set aside with broccoli.
