Step 1: Make the Meatballs (if homemade) : Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Mix ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, parmesan, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and parsley. Shape into 12 evenly sized meatballs. Bake 15–18 minutes or until fully cooked.
Step 2: Heat the Meatballs in Marinara : Warm marinara sauce in a saucepan. Add the cooked meatballs and simmer 5 minutes to coat them well.
Step 3: Prepare the Slider Buns : Slice the buns horizontally as one sheet (keeping tops and bottoms attached). Place the bottom layer into a greased baking dish.
Step 4: Assemble the Sliders : Spoon a little marinara on the bottom buns. Place one meatball per bun. Add an extra spoon of marinara over each meatball. Sprinkle generously with mozzarella and optional parmesan. Place the top buns back on.
Step 5: Add Garlic Butter : Mix melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Brush the mixture evenly over the tops of the sliders.
Step 6: Bake : Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake sliders for 12–15 minutes, until the cheese melts and buns turn golden.
Step 7: Serve : Cut into individual sliders. Garnish with parsley if desired. Serve warm while the cheese is gooey.
