Ingredients

  • For the Mini Meatballs
  • 1 lb ground beef or a mix of beef and pork
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 small onion, finely grated or minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • For the BBQ Glaze
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional for heat)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • In a large bowl, mix together all the meatball ingredients until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  • Roll the meat mixture into mini meatballs, about 1 inch wide.
  • Arrange the meatballs on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes or until browned and mostly cooked through.
  • Meanwhile, whisk together all BBQ glaze ingredients in a bowl.
  • Remove the meatballs from the oven, brush them generously with the BBQ glaze, and return them to the oven for an additional 8–10 minutes.
  • Once caramelized and sticky, remove and serve warm.
