Ingredients

  • For the Base:
  • 1 sheet pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)
  • For the Topping:
  • ½ cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup mini pepperoni slices (or chopped regular pepperoni)
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat the oven : Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a mini muffin tin with olive oil or cooking spray.
  • Step 2: Prepare the dough : Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness. Cut the dough into 12 small squares (roughly 2x2 inches). Gently press each square into the muffin tin cups to form little dough “cups.”
  • Step 3: Assemble the pizza bites : Spoon about 1 teaspoon of pizza sauce into each dough cup. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously on top of the sauce. Add pepperoni slices, then a small pinch of Parmesan cheese. Lightly sprinkle with Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes (if desired).
  • Step 4: Bake : Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until the dough is golden and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
  • Step 5: Cool and garnish : Remove from the oven and let the bites cool for 5 minutes before taking them out of the muffin tin. Garnish with chopped basil or parsley.
