  • For the Sliders
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)
  • 8 mini slider buns
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking onions)
  • 1 cup caramelized onions (about 2 medium onions)
  • 4–8 slices of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or American), halved if needed
  • Optional toppings: pickles, lettuce, tomato
  • For the Caramelized Onions
  • 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon sugar (optional, to enhance caramelization)

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare Caramelized Onions : Slice onions thinly. Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet, add onions, salt, and sugar. Cook on medium heat for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and soft.
  • Step 2: Season and Shape Patties : Combine ground beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Form into 8 equal mini patties.
  • Step 3: Cook Patties : Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook patties 3–4 minutes per side until cooked through. Add cheese in the last minute to melt.
  • Step 4: Toast Buns : Lightly toast slider buns on the skillet or grill until golden.
  • Step 5: Assemble Sliders : Place cooked patty on the bottom bun, top with caramelized onions, and cover with the top bun. Add optional toppings if desired.
  • Step 6: Serve : Serve immediately while warm and cheese is melted.
