Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz / 170 g each, skin-on preferred)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (plus lemon wedges for serving)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (or substitute with thyme or basil)
  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional, for color)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven: Set oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Prepare the garlic butter mixture: In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Prepare the salmon fillets: Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels to ensure crisp edges. Place them skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Add the garlic butter: Brush or spoon the garlic butter mixture generously over the salmon fillets.
  • Bake the salmon: Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, depending on thickness, until salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Finish with fresh herbs: Once out of the oven, sprinkle chopped parsley and dill over the salmon. Add lemon wedges for serving.
