Ingredients

  • For the Salmon:
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each, skin-on recommended)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (or melted butter)
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Lemon slices (for garnish)
  • For the Creamy Dill Sauce:
  • 1 cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option)
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise (optional, for richness)
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced (or 1/2 tsp garlic powder)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  • Prepare Salmon: Pat salmon fillets dry. Place on prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil, lemon juice, and sprinkle with zest, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Bake Salmon: Bake for 15–20 minutes, until salmon flakes easily with a fork and internal temp reaches 135–145°F (depending on preference).
  • Prepare Dill Sauce: While salmon bakes, whisk together sour cream, mayo, dill, mustard, lemon juice, zest, garlic, salt, and pepper until smooth. Chill until ready to serve.
  • Serve: Plate salmon fillets, spoon creamy dill sauce over the top, and garnish with lemon slices and fresh dill.
