Ingredients

  • For the Salmon:
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • For the Parmesan Crust:
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (panko recommended)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • For the Alfredo Sauce:
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Oven and Baking Dish: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease with olive oil.
  • Step 2: Make the Parmesan Crust: In a bowl, mix Parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, and parsley. Brush each salmon fillet lightly with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Press the Parmesan mixture on top of each salmon fillet to form a crust.
  • Step 3: Bake the Salmon: Place salmon on prepared baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, until salmon is cooked through and crust is golden.
  • Step 4: Make the Alfredo Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Whisk in Parmesan cheese until smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using). Remove from heat.
  • Step 5: Combine and Serve: Plate salmon fillets and spoon creamy Alfredo sauce over or around them. Garnish with fresh parsley and additional Parmesan if desired.
