Ingredients

  • For the Peanut Butter Mousse
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • For the Chocolate Ganache
  • 100 g semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon butter (optional, for shine)
  • Optional Garnish
  • Chopped peanuts
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder
  • Mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, whip heavy cream with a hand mixer or stand mixer until soft peaks form.
  • In a separate bowl, combine peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix until smooth.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture until fully combined, maintaining a light and airy texture.
  • Divide the peanut butter mousse evenly into individual serving glasses or bowls.
  • Chill the mousse in the refrigerator for at least 1–2 hours until set.
  • To prepare the chocolate ganache, heat heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Remove from heat and pour over the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for 1–2 minutes, then stir until smooth and glossy. Add butter if desired for extra shine.
  • Allow the ganache to cool slightly, then spoon or drizzle it over the chilled peanut butter mousse.
  • Garnish with chopped peanuts, chocolate shavings, or mini chocolate chips if desired.
  • Chill for an additional 30 minutes to allow the ganache to set slightly before serving.
