Combine softened butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt to make the cinnamon butter.
Whisk flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and pumpkin spices in a large bowl.
In another bowl, whisk pumpkin puree, buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined.
Rest the batter for 5–10 minutes.
Heat a lightly greased skillet or griddle over medium heat.
Pour about ¼ cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
Cook for 2–3 minutes, until bubbles appear and the edges begin to set.
Flip and cook for another 1–2 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
Repeat with the remaining batter.
Serve warm with cinnamon butter and maple syrup.
Garnish with pecans, whipped cream, powdered sugar, or cinnamon as desired.
