Step 1: Cook the Noodles : Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook lo mein noodles (or spaghetti) according to package directions until al dente. Drain and toss with 1 tablespoon vegetable oil to prevent sticking. Set aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Sauce : In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, red pepper flakes, and chicken broth. Set aside for later.
Step 3: Cook the Shrimp : Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the pan and set aside.
Step 4: Stir-Fry Vegetables : In the same pan, add garlic, ginger, onion, carrot, and broccoli. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp. Add a splash of water if needed to help steam the broccoli.
Step 5: Combine Everything : Return shrimp to the pan with the vegetables. Add cooked noodles and pour the sauce over everything. Toss well to coat all ingredients evenly in the sauce. Cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring constantly until heated through and glossy.
Step 6: Serve : Transfer to serving bowls. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve immediately while hot.
