Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Pasta : Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve ½ cup of pasta water.
Step 2: Cook the Shrimp : In a large skillet, heat 2 tbsp butter and 2 tbsp olive oil over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and season lightly with salt and black pepper. Cook for 1–2 minutes per side until shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
Step 3: Make the Garlic u0026 White Wine Sauce : In the same skillet, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant, but not browned. Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Let wine reduce slightly for 2–3 minutes. Stir in remaining 1 tbsp butter and lemon juice.
Step 4: Combine Pasta and Shrimp : Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the sauce. Toss gently to coat pasta, adding reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce. Return cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss until evenly mixed. Stir in chopped parsley for freshness.
Step 5: Serve : Plate the pasta and shrimp. Garnish with extra parsley and lemon wedges. Serve immediately while hot.
