Ingredients

  • For the Ribs
  • 2–3 lbs pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • For the Honey Garlic Sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 1 teaspoon water (for cornstarch slurry)

Instructions

  • Prepare the ribs: Pat the ribs dry and remove the membrane from the back if still attached.
  • Season: Sprinkle salt, pepper, smoked paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder on both sides.
  • Make the sauce: In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, vinegar, and brown sugar.
  • Layer in slow cooker: Place ribs inside, curling them around the edges if needed.
  • Pour sauce: Cover ribs fully with the honey garlic sauce.
  • Slow cook: Cook 6–8 hours on LOW or 3–4 hours on HIGH until tender.
  • Optional broil: Transfer ribs to a baking sheet and broil to caramelize. Brush extra sauce over the top.
  • Thicken leftover sauce: Mix cornstarch and water into a slurry, add to slow cooker liquid, and heat until thickened.
  • Serve: Pour thickened sauce over ribs and enjoy.
