Ingredients
  

  • 2 bagels, halved
  • 4 tablespoons cream cheese (regular or flavored)
  • 4–6 slices smoked salmon
  • ½ cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 small tomato, thinly sliced
  • ¼ red onion, thinly sliced
  • Fresh arugula or baby spinach
  • Optional toppings: capers, dill, lemon juice, black pepper
  • Butter or olive oil for toasting (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Toast the Bagels : Preheat a toaster or oven. Toast bagel halves until golden and slightly crisp. Optionally, brush with a small amount of butter or olive oil for extra flavor.
  • Step 2: Spread Cream Cheese : Evenly spread cream cheese on each bagel half. Make sure to cover the entire surface for a creamy base.
  • Step 3: Layer the Fillings : Place smoked salmon slices evenly over the cream cheese. Add cucumber and tomato slices. Sprinkle thinly sliced red onion and fresh arugula on top. Add optional toppings: capers, dill, a squeeze of lemon juice, and black pepper.
  • Step 4: Assemble the Sandwich : Place the top half of the bagel over the fillings. Press lightly to hold together.
  • Step 5: Serve : Serve immediately while the bagel is warm and crispy. Optionally, cut in half for easier handling.
