- 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails on
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional for extra heat)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- French bread or steamed rice, for serving
Prepare the Shrimp: Rinse shrimp under cold water and pat dry.
Make the Sauce Base: In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté 30–45 seconds until fragrant. Stir in smoked paprika, Cajun seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
Cook the Shrimp: Add shrimp to the skillet and sauté 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Pour in Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice, tossing shrimp to coat in the sauce.
Finish with Butter and Herbs: Stir in remaining 2 tbsp butter until melted. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and toss gently.
Serve: Transfer shrimp and sauce to a serving dish. Serve hot with French bread or over rice to soak up the flavorful sauce.
