Ingredients

Base u0026 Layers:

  • 1 can (16 oz) refried beans
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix (divided)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup guacamole
  • 1 cup salsa (thick style, not watery)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend)
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • ½ cup chopped tomatoes
  • ¼ cup sliced black olives (some extra for the spider decoration)
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions

For the Spider Web Decoration:

  • ½ cup sour cream (in a piping bag or ziplock with tip cut off)
  • Whole black olives (to make the spider body and head)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Base: Spread refried beans evenly at the bottom of a large round serving platter.
  • Mix Sour Cream Layer: In a small bowl, combine 1 cup sour cream with half of the taco seasoning packet. Spread this mixture evenly over the beans.
  • Add Guacamole Layer: Carefully spread guacamole on top of the sour cream layer.
  • Spread Salsa: Add a thin, even layer of salsa over the guacamole.
  • Cheese u0026 Veggies: Sprinkle shredded cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, olives, and green onions over the top.
  • Make the Web: Fill a piping bag with sour cream. Pipe concentric circles on the top layer. Using a toothpick or knife, drag lines outward from the center to the edge, creating a web design.
  • Create the Spider: Slice a whole black olive in half for the body, and another half for the head. Cut thin strips from olives for the legs and arrange them around the “body.” Place on the web.
  • Chill u0026 Serve: Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
