Ingredients

  • For the Pork Stir-Fry
  • 1 lb (450 g) pork tenderloin or pork shoulder, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 medium carrot, julienned or thinly sliced
  • 1 cup snow peas or sugar snap peas
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • For the Sticky Hoisin Sauce
  • 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional for thicker sauce)
  • Garnishes (Optional)
  • Sesame seeds
  • Green onions, sliced
  • Crushed peanuts
  • Chili flakes

Instructions

  • Prepare the sauce by whisking together hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, water, and cornstarch (if using). Set aside.
  • Heat oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat.
  • Add sliced pork and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until lightly browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • Add the onion, garlic, and ginger to the pan and cook 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add broccoli, bell pepper, carrots, and snow peas. Stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until vegetables are crisp-tender.
  • Return the pork to the pan.
  • Pour the hoisin sauce mixture over the pork and vegetables. Cook 1–2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat everything evenly.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Serve hot with rice, noodles, or lettuce wraps.
