1 tsp honey or brown sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
For Garnish:
Chopped cilantro
Sesame seeds
Lime wedges
Instructions
Prepare the Shrimp: Pat shrimp dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
Make the Sweet Chili Glaze: In a small bowl, combine Thai sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, honey, and red pepper flakes. Mix well and set aside.
Cook the Shrimp: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and ginger and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
Add the Glaze: Pour the sweet chili glaze over the cooked shrimp. Toss to coat shrimp evenly and cook for an additional 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and clings to the shrimp.
Garnish and Serve: Transfer shrimp to a serving platter. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro, sesame seeds, and serve with lime wedges on the side.
